Overland Park is buzzing with energy as Brinkmann Constructors, in partnership with Erickson Senior Living, kicks off construction on a brand-new building at the Tallgrass Creek Senior Living campus. This marks a fantastic milestone as the new building will become the fifth residential structure in the second neighborhood of the Tallgrass Creek campus.
The new building will embrace a modern design featuring 89 residential units, constructed with durable wood framing over a podium deck. For those who may worry about parking, the building will include below-grade parking to keep those cars out of sight!
The renowned Lantz-Boggio Architects is at the helm of this design project, ensuring that the new building fits beautifully into the vibrant Tallgrass Creek community.
Meanwhile, over in downtown Hayward, California, Integral Senior Living has unveiled a stunning new community called Bellara Senior Living. Spanning an impressive 191,842 square feet, this new five-story building boasts 157 residences with options for independent living, assisted living, and memory care.
On April 10, residents and guests will gather for a grand opening ceremony that promises to showcase a variety of layouts from cozy studios to spacious two-bedroom units. The design of Bellara Senior Living aligns with Hayward’s downtown objectives, enhancing density while creating a walkable urban core.
Residents will enjoy top-notch amenities, including a bistro, restaurant-style dining, a fitness center, a theater, a salon, and even a barbershop! Don’t forget about the art room and activity room, which are sure to keep creativity flowing. The community’s design embraces mid-century modern and industrial styles, making sure to include warm natural textures to create a cozy atmosphere.
But the crown jewel of the Bellara community is undoubtedly the 15,000 square-foot courtyard. Complete with a bocce court, fire pit, pergola, and a tranquil Zen garden, this outdoor space will be a true haven for relaxation and social gatherings.
Across state lines in Wentzville, Missouri, Cedarhurst Senior Living has made its mark by opening Cedarhurst of Wentzville, a community designed for independent living, assisted living, and memory care. This new facility includes 65 independent living units, 47 assisted living units, and 21 memory care apartments to cater to the varying needs of its residents.
Interestingly, Cedarhurst of Wentzville also features a movie theater, landscaped courtyards, and a pickleball court, providing perfect opportunities for relaxation and enjoyment.
Last but certainly not least, we head to West Chester, Pennsylvania, where Barclay Friends, a part of Kendal Corp., has proudly opened the Goshen Memory Care residences. These new memory care units consist of 24 apartments designed to meet the increasing demand for dementia care in the area.
The Goshen Memory Care residences were developed at a cost of $3.3 million, supported by a combination of $1.8 million in reserves and a $1.5 million capital campaign. This investment reflects a strong commitment to providing quality care for residents in need.
