    • Next on the list is the javelin throw
    • Finally, the weekend wraps up with the exciting 800 meters

The Decathlon: A Battle of Skills

On the other side of the oval, the decathlon features four determined competitors. Among them are two athletes from North Dakota, one from Claremont-Mudd-Scripps, and another unattached athlete. This diverse group promises to deliver thrilling performances across ten events!

    • The day starts with 100 meters at 10:30 a.m. PT
    • Then they will take to the air for the long jump

    • Finally, they sprint through the 400 meters
  • Friday:
    • Starting off early with the 110-meter hurdles at 9 a.m. PT
    • Throwing in some strength with the discus throw
    • Daring athletes will tackle the pole vault
    • Following that is the exciting javelin throw
    • And to finish it off, the endurance test with the 1,500 meters

Looking Ahead for SDSU Track and Field

After this weekend’s thrilling showcase, the San Diego State track and field team will be back in action next weekend! They will be splitting their competitions across three exciting meets:

  • The Mike Fanelli Classic at Cox Stadium in San Francisco from April 3-5
  • The Stanford Invitational at Cobb Track and Angell Field in Stanford on April 4-5
  • The Arnie Robinson Invitational at Merrill Douglas Stadium at San Diego Mesa College on April 5
